MPK Wrocław have announced that its ‘buffer zones’, used to limit their drivers’ exposure to covid-19, have been scrapped on trams.
The decision to remove the buffer zones in trams is the increase in the number of passengers since Wrocław schools and universities re-opened. Every tram driver does of course have their separate cabin, and the buffer zones were arguably introduced to give staff some reassurance than anything else.
However, for the time being, MPK will not remove the zones from its buses.
Wrocław public transport authority have also stressed the need for passengers to obey the rules on face coverings.
