Brochów Aquapark Opening Put Back To 2022

The long-talked-about construction of an aquapark in Brochów appears to be finally moving forward – 3 years after the project was first unveiled.

Back in 2017 Wrocław City Council revealed their intention to build an aquapark in Brochów with a 5-lane indoor pool, small gym and fitness club, a 25 metre outdoor pool with slides, plus a kids paddling pool.

The whole complex was estimated at 28 million złoty and the aquapark was supposed to open last year. However delays in knocking Brochów’s old pool down resulted in the project falling well behind schedule.

A tender was then launched for the project last year. However, little had been said or done about the plans until earlier this week, when the city announced that an agreement over the construction of the aquapark had finally been reached.

The city will now pay 41 million złoty for the construction of the leisure centre, which should take around 2 years to complete.

According to tuwroclaw.com, the new aquapark will include  4 swimming pools (including one outdoor pool with an accompanying bar), changing rooms, a fitness room, outdoor gym, sauna and a catering point.

Brochów is located on the fringes of the city limits, between Krzyki and Jagodno. That might prove too out of the way for many Wrocławians, however Brochów is easily reachable by car and the area also has a train station with fairly regular services to Wrocław Głowny. The site of the aquapark is a ten minute walk away from Brochów station.
