Man Who Tried To Attack Equality March Is Detained On Terror Charges

The man who tried to attack police officers and Equality March participants last Saturday has been detained on terror charges.

The 41-year-old Polish citizen was seen walking towards pl. Wolności with a knife in each of his hands. He also shouted “Allah Akbar” as he approached the police cordon. Offers fortunately grappled the man to the ground and arrested him before he could hurt anyone.

According to tuwrocław.com, the would-be attacker is a resident of the Pomerania region and traveled approximately 350 kilometers so as to carry out an attack. Seven kitchen knives were found in the man’s car, the longest two of which were selected as his preferred weapons.

The man has reportedly admitted to wanting to challenge the police officers securing the Equality March, as well as frightening those who had attended the event.

He could potentially be jailed for as long as 15 years for his actions.
