Swastikas Hang At Dworzec Głowny For Filming Of Historical Movie

Surprised passengers arrived at Wrocław Main Station today to see that some platforms had been decorated to resemble a Berlin station from 1939.

The swastika flags and other Nazi-era signs were of course only present due to the recording of a film.

Titled ‘The Death Of Zygielbojma’, the movie is to tell the true story of a how a Polish politician, whose brother killed himself in protest, strived to tell the world about the horrors of the holocaust.

Wrocławian actor Wojciech Mecwaldowski has a role in the film, as do Polish actors Karolina Gruszka, Tomasz Sapryka, Aleksandra Popławska and Jacek Roth .

Other parts of the film, which is being partly funded by the Polish Film Institute and the Polish National Foundation, will be recorded in London, Łódź and Warsaw.
