MPK Testing New Electric Bus

Wrocław’s public transport authority are testing out a Volvo electric bus, which is currently in operation on lines K and 144.

The bus is equipped with a 200 kW electric motor that can recover energy when braking. The 12-metre-long vehicle has 34 seats and can transport up to 86 passengers.

As is typical for electric vehicles, the bus is said to be very quiet. On top of that, the materials used to construct the bus should remain corrosion-free for 15 years.

The bus is running on the K route during week and the 144 route at the weekends.
