Wrocław City Council To Run Free City Tour For Foreigners

This Sunday at 11am, Wrocław City Council are co-hosting a free 2-hour ‘Meeting Place’ tour of Wrocław in English.

The free tour is a joint project of the Polish Tourist and Sightseeing Agency, The City Tourism Promotion Office and Wrocław City Council.

There are of course several ‘free’ tours that operate in the city on a regular basis, however they do understandably ask their participants to provide a tip at the end. Given that this particular tour is being run by NGOs and the City Council, there will be no need to pay anything.

According to the organisers, the tour will shed light on Wrocław’s 1000 years of history by taking in parts of the Old Town, Rynek, University area and the District of Mutual Respect.

The tour leaves Barbara Infpoint at 11am. The event will also be hosted in Czech and Russian at the same hour and place on Sunday July 28th.

Several other tours are available in Polish, including one hosted by a Wrocław Lamplighter. The special Lamplighter meetings will be run for the next three Friday evenings at 8pm. The starting point is at Tumski Bridge.

You can find more details about all of the tours here.
