Slot Art Festival Kicks Off In Lubiąż Tomorrow

The Slot Art Festival, a five-day event that attracts thousands to Lubiąż’s Cistercian Abbey, is set to get underway tomorrow.

Billed as a meeting place “for inspiration-seekers, fans of various music genres, jugglery enthusiasts, activists and lovers of crafts and arts”, the annual festival is held about a one-hour drive away from Wrocław.

The Slot Art Festival’s program is divided into 5 sections; workshops, concerts, meetings, artistic events and locations.

According to the organisers, the festival is home to over 150 workshops, over a dozen concerts, tens of artists’ meetings, plenty of exhibitions and film screenings, plus unique locations across the site in which to hold these attractions.

All of the action is taking place next to a giant palace that used to be the biggest Cistercian Abbey in the world.

This year the artists on the main stage are L.U.C, Marcelina, Tęskno and Sorry Boys. They’ll also be urban music from Turntablism and Dj ChedeRac. On top of that, artists from genres including Punk, hip-hop and folk are all performing.

You can find more info on the festival via the official website. 1 day tickets, which cost between 40-80zł depending on your age group, can be purchased here.
