Kaleidoscope Of Cultures Festival Set For Park Staromiejski This Weekend

This weekend’s Kaleidoscope of Cultures festival will bring an eclectic line-up of bands from different countries and cultures to Park Staromiejski.

Now into it’s 12th year, the event is part of an initiative that seeks to engage intercultural dialogue.

The main aim of the festival is to bring attention to the different ethnic groups and national minorities in Wrocław. However the event also acts as a means of protecting and promoting regional folklore in the Lower Silesia district.

This year’s festival line-up features a wide spectrum of artists from different countries including Belarus, Greece, Germany, Ukraine and India.

It all begins next Friday night at Stary Klastzor, where Dana Vynyttska and her band will perform a folk music gig.

On the following day at 2pm, the festival will host a ‘great picnic’ in Park Staromiejski featuring workshops and various other attractions for all the family. Two hours later the music will begin, with a variety of artists from Europe and Asia set to perform.

Then at 10pm in Mleczrarnia, the festival comes to a close with a performance from multi-ethnic band Tsigunz Fanfara Avantura.

You can find more details on the festival on the Facebook event page and the Kaleidoscope of Cultures website.
