Wrocław’s Video Game Music Festival Returns For 2nd Year

In 2018 Wrocław hosted the world’s first ever video game music festival. It proved a big hit and now the October event is back again this year.

The first ever edition of the ‘Game Music Festival’ was acclaimed by fans and composers alike. It ended up attracting an audience of 5,000 people across the weekend.

The 2019 edition of the ‘Game Music Festival’ takes place on October 18th and 19th.

This time out the event will feature music from games such as Assassin’s Creed II, Journey, ICO, Shadow of the Colossus, The Last Guardian, Abzu, The Banner Saga and Hitman.

“We love games and we love good music. Our team at gamemusic.pl has been combining these two passions for more than a decade by writing about the music of video games, releasing game music albums on vinyl, and… producing game music concerts. When we organize such performances, we want to take them to the next level. The quality of sound is what really matters to us. We use no electronic amplification thus perfect acoustics became our priority.

Having gathered years of experience, we finally grew up to create something bigger. A truly unique event. We invite you to beautiful city of Wroclaw in Poland to our first Game Music Festival.”

The festival will once again be held at the state-of-the art National Music Forum. Meanwhile the NFM Wroclaw Philharmonic and the Sound Factory Orchestra are to perform the music on stage.

Two-day tickets to the festival start at 349zł and can be bought online here. Tickets for individual concerts are also available from 59zł and up.
