Wrocław City Council have revealed the first visualisations of the new look Bulwar Słoneczny, which is to include plaques commemorating the introduction of women’s voting rights.
Bulwar Słoneczny runs alongside the Odra between pl.Bema and the bridge over to Wyspa Bielarska.
The City Council are looking to replace the pavement and also built an asphalt cycle path along the boulevard. Benches will be added as part of the plan as well as additional rubbish bins.
On top of that, the plan includes the planting of 57 extra trees and the addition of 54 plaques commemorating the history of women’s electoral rights. On top of that, the years in which women first voted in various countries will be engraved on the pavement.
Contractors have until May 24th to submit their offer for carrying out the renovation. The company who get the job will have 3 months to complete the work, which is estimated to cost 1.7 million zł.
