Man Dies After Jumping Off Trzebnicki Bridge

Yesterday morning a man in his fifties died after jumping from Trzebnicki bridge into the river Odra.

According to Gazeta Wrocławska, the fire brigade and ambulance worked together to pull the man from the water and resuscitate him, however his life could not be saved.

The identity of the man is not yet known; it is also unclear whether the man sought to take his life or just attempt an ambitious dive.

The tragic death comes after 2 suicides and 1 suspected suicide in Wrocław all taking place within the same month.

Our readers may recall that on March 14th a man tragically took his own life by jumping from the top of an electricity pilon. On the same day, another man died after being hit by a locomotive while standing on the train tracks near Wrocław Grabiszyn station. On top of that, last Monday an 18-year-old man took his own life after jumping from the multi-storey car park of Galeria Dominikanska.
