Right-wing Author Thrown Off Train For Homophobic Slurs

On Saturday right-wing publicist and writer Ireneusz Lisiak was ejected from a PKP Intercity train after passengers complained about him uttering homophobic slurs

Lisiak was travelling from the south of Poland to Poznan, but his journey ended up getting cut short at Wrocław Glówny.

According to Radio Poznan, Lisiak continually used the Polish homophobic slur “pedał” in a conversation with a passenger. This is said to have caused “indignation among passengers and the train crew”.

PKP Intercity say their staff had to remove Lisiak from the train as he had violated their provisions.

In a post on Facebook, Poland’s national train operator explained that Mr. Lisiak’s behaviour was “aggressive and vulgar” in the direction of other passengers. They also write that Lisiak continued to behave in the same way despite being warned by staff.
