Vandals Deface Ukrainian Restaurant With Anti-Semitic Graffiti

Vandals have defaced the windows of a Ukrainian restaurant in the Zakrzów district with anti-Semitic graffiti.

A photograph shared on social media this morning shows how vandals have sprayed an image of the Star of David being hung along with the words “F*ck UPA”.

The UPA acronym refers to the Ukrainian Insurgent Army, a Ukrainian nationalist paramilitary division that fought against Nazi Germany, the Soviet Union, the Polish Underground State and Communist Poland.

Just under the Star of David, UPA is also written using the Ukrainian alphabet (УПА).

The restaurant that was targeted is the Zatorska branch of the popular Ukrainian Lviv chain, which also has restaurants on Legnicka street and Szewska street.

Wrocławskie Centrum Sprawiedliwości Naprawczej have already been made aware of the graffiti and it will inevitably be removed soon.
