WKS Śląsk Wrocław are offering free tea in a bid to woo fans to this Saturday’s relegation zone clash against Zagłębie Sosnowiec.
In recent years Wrocław’s solitary top-flight side have had a torrid time in the bottom half of the Ekstraklasa table, resulting in some awful football and embarrassingly low crowds.
This season has proven to be no different so far, with WKS currently hovering just one point above the relegation zone. The poor results eventually led to the dismissal of head coach Tadeusz Pawłowski, who has since been replaced by Czech manager Vítezslav Lavicka.
Lavicka has made some new signings too, including Zambia international Lubambo Musonda. Now that the new players and coach in place, WKS’ marketing team have been quick to say that this is a “new look Śląsk”. Whether that will be enough to convince the stay-away fans is another matter however.
Tickets for Saturday’s match cost between 20 and 40zł for adults, with discounts available for families, children, students and pensioners. Kick off is at 15.30.
