New Places To Check Out In Wrocław This December

Wrocław’s culinary scene is constantly evolving as venues come and go. Here’s our latest summary of new places in town.

First up is French-themed cafe Petit Fours, which offers a wide selection of sweet cakes, pastries and tarts.
They also have a number of savoury items on the menu, including various incarnations of foie grois as well as salads, hummus and taboule. The cafe is located nearby popular pasta hangout Ragu on Sienkiewicza street.

Residents of Jagodno can now tuck into some Balkan cuisine thanks to the arrival of Ajvar.
During the summer Ajvar appeared at various events such as Gastro Miasto, and now they can finally get to grips with having a fully-fledged restaurant. Expect to see classics like Cevapi and Pljeskavica on the menu.

Located on Ruska street nearby the Neon Gallery courtyard and Pasaż Niepolda, Wurstit is clearly aiming itself at the late-night streedfood crowd.
Bratwursty have of course long ruled supreme in the sausage-street food category. Few others have followed in their footsteps though, so perhaps there is room on the market for Wurstit.

Our second French venue of the month is Francuska Farma, whose French owners are determined to bring some of their country’s authentic dishes to Wrocław.
Whether they can live up to that task is a question for our French readers.
One thing we do know however, is that prices at Francuska Farma are certainly a lot cheaper than France. Salads are available for as little as 11zł and the soups are priced under 9zł. These prices make it more than affordable for the students living and studying in the surrounding area.
If Petit Fours wasn’t enough for the sweet-toothed, there’s also Słodki Chłopak – a small cafe and confectionery run by two avid confectioners.
Having started out as a food cart selling cakes along the Odra, the two men have now set up shop on Kluczborska street in the Ołbin district.

Last but not least we have another attempt at a kebab shop claiming to be a cut above the rest.
Located in the heart of the student district on Curie-Skłodowska, this place shouldn’t have too much trouble finding hungry customers at all times of the day.
All of the venues in this article were compiled with the aid of info from the excellent food blog wroclawskiejedzenie.pl and its sister page wroclovefood.pl.
