11th Avant Art Festival Starts Today

The Avant Art Festival, one of the cultural highlights in Wrocław every Autumn, gets underway again today.

Into it’s eleventh year, Avant Art promotes a diverse range of dynamic, creative musicians whose alternative and innovative attitudes seek to push the boundaries of music as we know it.

As always, the festival’s artists come from different ends of the musical spectrum, with genres like punk, industrial music and improvisational jazz all represented.

Film screenings will take place at Kino Nowe Horyzonty, with Impart, Klub Proza, Muzem Współczesne and Zajezdnia Dąbie set to host concerts and various other events.

Artists from across the globe will perform live during the 6-day festival, with bands from the UK, USA, Ireland, Hungary and Sweden all on the bill.

The Avant Art Festival website provides a deep insight into all the artists. Tickets can be purchased here. A music festival pass is 99zł, while a film festival pass is 50zł.
