Next month another international sporting event is coming to Wrocław in the shape of the European Ultimate Frisbee Championships.
Held across twelve pitches at the Pola Marsowe fields near the Olympic Stadium, the tournament will see 48 teams battle it out in 3 separate categories.
All the games will be played on the weekend of October 5th-7th.
Ultimate frisbee, which is now simply known as ‘ultimate ‘, is a non-contact team sport that was developed in 1968 by a group of New Jersey high school students. The most unique element of the sport is the fact it is “self officiating”. Ultimate relies on the sportsmanship of players and invokes “Spirit of the Game” to maintain fair play.
You can find more info on the tournament via the Ultimate Federation website.
