Located just off the market square on Oławska street, Vertigo Jazz Club & Restaurant has long established itself as the premier Jazz venue not only Wrocław, but also the wider region. Boasting an authentic 1920’s jazz club interior and impressive acoustics, not to mention a dazzling restaurant, it’s a superb venue to enjoy concerts of all genres.

To win a pair of tickets for one of these concerts or stand-up gigs, just write the name of the event you wish to go to in the Facebook comments section of this article, in which you should also tag the person you’d like to go with. Please submit your entry by 11.59pm on Monday the 1st of October. 

All entries will go into a prize draw to be conducted on Tuesday afternoon and the winner will be contacted by private message.

Vertigo Italian Night

On October 7th Malwina Kulisiewicz, Dorota Zygadło and Mateusz Kowalczyk will join forces again to perform some of the biggest Italian language hits. This time out the trio have prepared new material, so if you’ve seen them before you can still expect to hear new songs! You can see the band in action via the video below.

Taylor Moore Band

The Taylor Moore Band are a new Polish-American blues-rock band whose sound combines catchy guitar riffs and traditional soul-rock. Lead by vocalist and guitarist Taylor Moore from South Carolina, the band also features Texan drummer Ryan Dylla and Warsaw-based bassist Piotr Kowalski.

Villas Na Nowo

As part of a new and most intriguing project, Wrocław pianist Andrzej Tymczyj is taking on the challenge of recreating the songs of controversial Polish singer Violetta Villas. The concert will see Tymczyji and his bandmates play Villa’s music like never before, using jazz music mixed with electronics, new samples and pop.

Will Mars

Will Mars is being billed as a “brilliantly self-deprecating British comedian who’s fast making a name for himself as a scruffy yet lovable international star.”

While living in New York for the past few years, the “English Comedian of the Year” finalist, has earned notoriety from his peers and audiences alike in both live comedy clubs as well as on air where he made his TV debut on Fox’s Showtime at The Apollo.

Kuba Lechki Quintet

Kuba Lechki Quintet is a band composed of musicians from Wrocław and Tricity.

The quintet focuses on classic, mainstream sounds together with elements of free-jazz and modal jazz. Trumpeter Piotr Szlempo and saxophone player Adam Bławicki help to generate authentic 50s and 60s jazz sounds, which compliment the more modern approach of the others in the quintet.

Their repertoire includes original compositions by all the band members, as well as their own arrangements of jazz classics reinvented with a dose of modernism.
