Century-old Wooden Gazebo In Park Południowy Destroyed By Fire

A historic wooden gazebo erected in Park Poludniowy during the Breslau era has been ravaged by fire.

The Zielony Wrocław Facebook Page, who broke the news yesterday, have reported the incident to the police. 

The gazebo was once known as the von Wallenberg pavilion (the name coming from its founder). It was located on ‘Bender’s Hill’, which is named after former major of Breslau George Bender.

This police will now investigate the cause of the fire. At this moment in time it is not known if the city will reconstruct the gazebo.
