Drunk Pitch Invader Could Be Jailed for 3 Years

A drunk pitch invader who pulled down his pants and mooned visiting Lech Poznan fans could face 3 years in prison.

During the first half of Sunday’s clash between Śląsk and Lech, a man evaded security staff while sprinting into the heart of the pitch. He then moved closer to the away end of the ground, turned his back and revealed his behind to the Lech Poznan fans. Not long after, stewards got hold of the man and escorted him off the pitch.

When the man was taken to the police detention centre, officers found him to have a BAC score of 0.19

According to tuwroclaw.com, the reaction to the man’s behaviour was mixed. Some home fans laughed while others applauded. However it is reported that the WKS Ultras shouted abuse at the pitch invader and ordered him to leave the stadium.

The court will now decide the fate of the 37-year-old, who has been charged with violating the Act on the Safety of Mass Events. He may face a fine, community service or even a prison sentence of up to 3 years.
