Five Injured As Ford Ka Hits Pedestrians, Cyclists And A Bus

Five people have been injured after a Ford Ka driver ploughed through the intersection of Borowska and Sucha next to the Wroclavia centre.

According to Gazeta Wrocławska, two of the five people who were injured suffered serious injuries. There are unconfirmed reports that one of those two is an 11-year-old girl, with the other being an adult cyclist.

Łukasz Dutkowiak from the Lower Silesian police has said that the driver of the Ford Ka collided with a Fiat when changing lanes and then veered towards the pavement. However instead of stopping, the driver accelerated and hit a cyclist and some pedestrians. Even after this, he continued to drive on and hit yet another cyclist. It wasn’t until the driver crashed into bus 122 that he actually stopped.

The exact cause of the accident and how it unfolded are now the subject of a police investigation. At the moment, it is not known whether the driver of the Ford was under the influence of alcohol drugs.

Traffic was understandably halted while the emergency services assisted those with injuries and towed away the wrecked Ford Ka. Both car and MPK traffic is now operating as normal.
