Located just off the market square on Oławska street, Vertigo Jazz Club & Restaurant has long established itself as the premier Jazz venue not only Wrocław, but also the wider region. Boasting an authentic 1920’s jazz club interior and impressive acoustics, not to mention a dazzling restaurant, it’s a superb venue to enjoy concerts of all genres.

To win a pair of tickets for one of these concerts or stand-up gigs, just write the name of the event you wish to go to in the Facebook comments section of this article, in which you should also tag the person you’d like to go with. Please submit your entry by 11.59pm on Monday the 6th of August. 

All entries will go into a prize draw to be conducted on Tuesday afternoon and the winner will be contacted by private message.

Alien Attack! International Improv

Syrian and Argentinean comedy duo Ehssan and Miguel are back next Wednesday evening with their latest show.

On a mission to give audiences an experience remarkably different to regular comedy nights, International Improv harnesses audience participation and incorporates many fun games and challenges.

The show aims to take regular stand-up comedy from countries some people have never been to, then mix it up with a series of scenarios, situations and spontaneous circumstances that the audience create and involve themselves in.


Jazz on the Rooftop vol.4 – Dixieland Band

Fancy the opportunity to see a Jazz concert on one of Wrocław’s most iconic rooftops? On Wednesday 8th August you’ve the chance to do just that.

At 8pm the Dixeland Band (Jan Virlan, Domink Mąkosa, Dominik Gawroński and Piotr Zarecki) will perform a set of classic New Orleans inspired Jazz.

New York Jazz Masters*

The final of the 3rd edition of the international Wojanów / Wrocław New York Jazz workshop takes place in Vertigo Jazz Club & Restaurant on the 11th and 12 of August.

The competition offers students from all over Europe the opportunity to learn under the supervision of true masters (this year that means Den DeRose, Miguel Zenon, Aaron Goldberg, Mike Moreno, Luques Curtis and Greg Hutchinson).

The final two days of the competition is bound to include some truly mesmerizing performances.

ShataQS – candlelit concert

On Sunday 19th August vigorous vocalist ShataQS will play in Wrocław.

After performing in several talent shows, ShataQS eventually hit the big time when her band won Polsat’s Must Be The Music contest in 2013.

The singer’s latest album contains acoustic tracks that embody the stories and reflections that have been part of her life. However that does represent a departure from her previous works, which contain more elements of funk, soul and electronics.


The Jackson 5 “An American Dream”

Our latest featured gig of the month is a concert of hits previously recorded by Michael Jackson and the Jackson five. 

The songs will be performed by an energetic band fronted by Anna Malek on vocals. It is sure to be a fun night for any fan of Michael Jackson’s music!
