Panthers Wrocław Lose Polish Bowl Against Lowlanders Białystok

Wrocław’s successful American Football team lost the chance to become champions on home soil on Saturday, when they lost the Polish Bowl against Lowlanders Białystok.

The 13-14 defeat was the Panthers’ first loss for almost 3 seasons. The Panthers have now featured in 6 Polish American Football finals, winning 3 and losing 3.

The last time the Panthers lost a final was back in 2015, when they were defeated by Seahawks Gydnia – a match that also took place here in Wrocław.

This season was the first in which the Panthers performed in the newly created EFA, a breakaway league that has divided Poland’s American football scene in half.

In Saturday’s final of the PLFA league, in which the Panthers left at the end of last season, Warsaw Eagles defeated Poznan Kozły 33-12.
