Wrocław’s President Unveils Dwarf In Lviv

Wrocław President Rafał Dutkiewicz unveiled a new dwarf on Monday – in the Ukrainian city of Lviv.
Wrocław does of course have some ties with Lviv. The two cities are currently twinned and many Poles who were living in Lviv had to move to Wrocław after WW2 due to the border changes that were enforced at the time. In the last few years many Ukrainians have of course also made Wrocław their home.
Migrations take place in two directions. Many Ukrainians live in Wrocław and feel at home at home – of which I am happy – and this dwarf chose the opposite direction.

Lviv is not only city outside of Wrocław to have its own Wrocław dwarf. Other twin cities of Wrocław (Vilnius, Reykjavik, Dresden, Guadalajara and Hradec Kralove) have been given their own Wrocław dwarfs too. On top of that, Washington also has one.
