Summer Of Jazz To Hit Wrocław’s Parks, Beach Bars, Buses and Trams

Concerts will also take place in hotels, clubs and on Daliowa Island

Live jazz music is set to be a part of public life in Wrocław next month thanks to the upcoming Vertigo Summer Jazz festival.

The 31-day festival will see numerous jazz bands and artists perform at a variety of disparate locations. Every Friday concerts will be held at Vertigo Jazz Club & Restaurant, however on every other day of the week live jazz will be playing out somewhere else in town.

On Mondays concerts are to take place in beach bars, while Tuesdays will see live jazz performed on various different means of transport – a boat, a tram, a train and even a bus. On Wednesdays and Thursdays the focus then moves to various indoor venues. Parks will be the scene of live jazz on Saturdays, followed by concerts on Daliowa Island every Sunday.

All of the outdoor concerts are free to attend, as are performances on the Vertigo Jazz tram, bus and train. Tickets for the indoor gigs and the jazz boat, which cost between 20 and 50zł, can be bought online here. Festival passes are also available for 159zł.

You can find out what's going on in the festival plan below. As you can see, there is one concert per day for the entire month of July.
