Wrocław's most popular night market is all set to return to its new location on pl. Społeczny this Friday.
Last year 'Gastro Nocki', held on the grounds of Świebodzki station on weekends in late August, proved a real hit. Hundreds of Wrocławians flocked to the night market each night to sample a variety of street food and craft beer, as well as do a bit of alternative shopping.
Earlier this year the organisers of Gastro Nocki announced that they would be leaving Świebodzki station to explore new sites. The first edition of the 2018 night market was held on pl. Społeczny last month. The choice of location seemed to make sense as in recent years the site has been home to several live gigs and food truck festivals.
An organisation called Peron 3 tried to ressurect the night market at Świebodzki a couple of weeks later, but unfortunately they decided to call it a day after nearby residents complained about the noise.
In another twist to the format, Gastro Nocki are planning to twin editions of their market with various festivals taking place in the city. Last time out it was the Jazz on the Odra festival, and in the upcoming edition RAP SZALET will perform live as part of the WroSound festival.
'Gastro Nocki' kicks off on Friday at 5pm and will run throughout the weekend until late on Sunday evening. You can find more details on the official Facebook event page.
