New Places To Check Out In Wrocław This June

Fast food, posh nosh, beach bars and more

Wrocław's culinary scene is constantly evolving as venues come and go. Here's our latest summary of new places in town:

Zazoo Beach Bar is bigger than ever this year and they've teamed up with a couple of food stalls to provide munch for all their hungry customers.

Pizzeria Włoska Robota is one of the stalls at the entrance to the beach bar, with the other being Doudou's – a modest BBQ grill offering "Egyptian kofta, grilled chicken and falafel".

Is it any good though? We'd love to hear from you if you've eaten there.

Fuzja na Solnym

Wrocław foodies of the world unite! Grzegorz Firkowski of the renowned Stół na Szwedzkiej, a unique restaurant where the staff knock-up whatever kind of dish is on your mind, is now part of another project.

It's a little too early to speculate about the project as very little info is available online. The photos on their Facebook page definitely look rather swanky though, and given the success of Stół na Szwedzkiej, one can expect this new venue to make a positive impression.

Royal India Curry and Grill

Looking for Indian food on a budget? Royal India Curry and Grill could be the solution.

Located on Pasaż Niepolda, the informal street-food restaurant offers an all-you-can-eat buffet daily between 12pm and 4pm. The buffet itself isn't a patch on the one previosuly offered by the now-defunct Buddha Lounge, however it is a lot cheaper.

We checked out the place last weekend and found the buffet to be tasty and good value. The only downside is the plastic tupperware and cutlery, which puts a bit of a downer on the whole dining experience.

Prostu z Mostu

Beach bars are springing up all over the place right now and one of the latest to open is Prostu z Mostu.

Thankfully this huge beach bar, which apparently spans 5,000 square metres, isn't just another summer bar that's making up the numbers.

For starters, if you just find the artificial beach areas at beach bars tacky, you can just enjoy a drink in Prostu z Mostu's 'beer garden' section. The tables and chairs lie on a rather solid lining of bark, which is very easy to walk on. The same area is also very well shaded with an abundance of umbrella's – very useful if your skin burns easily (like a Scottish person for example laugh).

If you like the whole beach bar scene, just chill out on the sun loungers in the sandy area behind the bar.

Like Zazoo, Hotspot and some other beach bars, Prostu z Mostu are planning a number of concerts and cultural events. So be sure to follow their Facebook page or regularly visit our events section to find the latest about what's on at this dynamic beach bar.

OpatoVice Beach Bar

If you're on the lookout for a more secluded and laid-back beach bar, Opatovice beach bar is definitely worth seeking out.

It's location near the Opatovice dam and line-park is picturesque but also rather 'out-of-the-way', meaning it isn't as busy as the likes of Zazoo, Forma Plynna or Hotspot.

Restauracja Odessa

With Wrocław now being home to a thriving Ukrainian community, it's no surprise to see more Ukrainian restaurants in town.

The latest Ukrainian eatery to arrive is Restauracja Odessa, located in the Swojczyce district.

Other places worth a mention:

  • Two beach bars have re-opened in the north of Wrocław, Stara Odra Beach Bar and Basen Beach Bar
  • Another new, if not slightly weird beach bar, should soon be open at the entrance to Wyspa Słodowa near Dubois tram stop
  • American style pizza chain 'Express Pizza' now have a new place in Nadodrze on ul. Powstańców Wielkopolskich
  • Pinta, Poland's most established craft brewery, are currently in the process of setting up a multitap in the Ovo building
  • The restaurateurs behind Mexican street-food venue Panczo are set to open a breakfast focused cafe on Wita Stwosza street
