Open-air Cinema Returns To Wyspa Słodowa

8 movies from different countries to be screened this month

Open-air cinema is back on Wyspa Słodowa and will be a regular fixture every weekend over the summer.

The sceenings got underway last night with 1988 classic Grave of the Fireflies and will continue tonight with renowned Indian movie The Taste of Curry.

All films not already in Polish will be screened with Polish subtitles. The one English screening is I, Daniel Blake.

The screenings start each night at 9.30pm. Please note that drinking alcohol or smoking on the site is not permitted. The screenings may also be cancelled if heavy rain or a storm is expected.

The full programme of screenings is as follows:

1.06 – Grave of fireflies

3.06 – The Taste of curry

8.06 – Rams

9.06 – I, Daniel Blake

15.06 – Wolf Children

16/06 – Kołysanka

29/06 – Cinema Paradiso

30/06 – Kedi – the Secret Life of Cats

Note: no screenings are planned for June 11nd or 23rd due to the Kaleidoscope of Cultures Festival
