2 Wrocław Buildings Nominated for 2017 Bryła Prize

Wrocław has 2 nominations for the 2017 Bryła prize, which is awarded to Poland's most beautiful new building.

The first nomination from Wrocław on the list is Oscar Zięty's avante-garde structure on Daliowa Island. The contemporary design incorporates new durable and lightweight materials that also have reflective properties, which are to be harnessed in order to mirror the beauty of the surrounding area onto the structure itself.

The second building from our city to recieve a nomination is the 'v liceum ogólnokształcące' secondary school on Ślężna street. Featuring unconventional protruding blocks, a rooftop basketball court and plenty of green areas for socialising, the high school is definitely the most innovative in Wrocław.

Other contenders on the list include Gdansk's World War 2 Museum and the Silesian University's Radio and Television Department building. You can check out the full list of nominations and vote for your favourite here.
