New Places To Check Out This April

Wrocław's culinary scene is constantly evolving as venues come and go. Here's our latest summary of new places in town:

Restauracja Drevny Kocur Wrocław

Drevny Kocur, a Czech themed chain-pub run by Budweiser, is now open in Wrocław's modern OVO building.

The new venue offers Czech classics like fried cheese with chips and goulash with dumplings, while liquid refreshment comes from Budweiser beer stored in giant tanks.

Wrocław's other Czech chain pub on Świdnicką street hasn't been received too well, so it will be interesting to see if this place fares better.

Another new restaurant to open in the OVO building is DIm Sum Garden, which offers attractive looking Asian dumplings.

Reviews so far have generally been positive, so it seems as though this is one for fans of Asian cuisine to look out for.

Hard Rock Cafe Wrocław

After months of delays the much hyped Hard Rock Cafe is now open.

There are infinitely more authentic experiences to enjoy here in Wrocław, but inevitably the arrival of one of the world's biggest brands is sure to lure its fair share of Wrocławians and tourists.

The amount of vegan venues in Wrocław has gone up noticeably in recent years. Now there's another alluring vegan place in town in the form of Bez Lukru.

Located in the spot on Igielna street previously occupied by Las, Bez Lukru specialises in vegan and gluten free cakes of all shapes, colours and sizes.

Fabryka Chwil

The Kleczków district is now home to Fabryka Chwil, a new concept for families that incorporates a childrens play area, cafe, beauty salon and clothes shop.

OZIMA chleb & pizza

It's always great to see new places spring up outside the city centre. OZIMA chleb & pizza is a bakery and pizzeria all rolled into one; its location is handy for anyone living in the Osobowice district.

Other places worth a mention:

  • The swanky, modern looking 1450 smokehouse & cocktail seems a bit too pretentious for our liking. That said, its atmosphere and posh nosh are bound to please some people.
  • Those in the Grabiszyńska area now have a new cafe to choose from in the shape of Równa Babka.

Most of the venues in this article were compiled with the aid of this list produced by the excellent food blog wroclawskiejedzenie.pl. The views expressed in the article are nonetheless entirely that of Wrocław's Uncut's author.
