Biedronka And Empik At Wrocław Głowny Open Every Sunday

In desperate need of Sunday shopping? If so, you can head to the Biedronka and Empik in Wrocław's Main Train Station

Earlier this month, Business Insider revealed the authorities had given the green light for Biedronka to keep its train station supermarkets open.

However Biedronka have had concerns about the legal consequences of keeping all their train station branches open. This fear is based on the theory that not all the products in their store may meet the "servicing the needs of the passengers" criteria stipulated in the government's legislation.

Biedronka did nonetheless open two train station stores last week (in Krakow and Warsaw). Having not been penalised for doing so, a further 5 train station stores across Poland opened yesterday – including here in Wrocław.

Biedronka's compact supermarket in Wrocław Głowny doesn't stock its whole product range, but still has far more goods on offer than your average convenience store.

Empik's Wrocław Głowny branch is also open, which could come in handy for anyone in need of buying a last minute present.

This week all shops will be open on Sundays as was normally the case. The trading ban will nevertheless be active for the following four Sundays.
