Reserach by hotel booking website HRS has found that hotels in Wrocław are the 2nd most expensive in Poland.
The report shows that the average price per night in a hotel in Poland last year was 262zł, which is a 6.8% rise on 2016.
Warsaw is understandably the most expensive, with prices reaching 340zł per night on average. Meanwhile Wrocław beat tourist hotspot Krakow to second place. The average hotel price here is 290zł per night, which is 12zł more than Krakow. Poznan came in fourth with an average price of 274zł per night.
According to Poland's statistics office, in the last quarter of 2017 over 360,000 people stayed in 'tourist accomodation' in Wrocław. This is almost 6% higher than the year before.
The number of hotel rooms in Wrocław's has also increased noticeably in recent years, a trend that's set to continue due to the construction of numerous new hotels. This includes a 5 star Hotel on Ostrów Tumski named The Bridge, as well as the return of the famous Grand Hotel opposite the train station.
