Ruska Street Undergoing Makeover

Yesterday work began on giving a section of Ruska street a much needed makeover

The renovation work is being carried out on the stretch of the street between Pasaż Niepolda and pl. Jana Pawła II. However some parts of this section will remain unchanged due to some property owners failing to agree to the renovation proposals.

Despite ul.Ruska being frequented by both locals and tourists, the western section has been not renovated in over 30 years according to tuwroclaw.com.

Over the years the arcade has become littered with graffiti and ugly advertisements, while the walls, pillars and pavement have also suffered from damage.

The building on Ruska 45 will be painted grey, with Ruska 46 dawning a cream colourscheme (the buildings' original colours).

The renovation is said to cost 100,000zł and will be completed in May of this year.
