New Mural Unveiled In Biskupin

Wrocław's complement of street-art has been enriched further by the arrival of a mural in Biskupin.

The new artwork, located by the Biskupin tram loop, was unveiled on Friday.

It was painted by Wojtek Kołacz, an artist who has also created murals in Lyon, Dresden, Besancon, Lille, Krakow, Gdansk, Katowice, Warsaw and Gdynia.

According to, the artist's task was to interpret the slogan for Światowid's Center for Creative Activities – "Światowid – all sides of culture".

The author says the mural is inspired by the mysterious "Zbruch Idol" statue, which currently housed in Kraków's Archaeological Museum.
