Wroclaw Marathon Hits Town This Sunday

Runners from around the globe will take part in the 35th edition of the Wrocław marathon this Sunday.

The race starts at the Olympic Stadium 9am sharp, with several spectator events planned throughout the day.

The 2017 Marathon will have almost the same route as last year. That means the leading pack will hit the old town first following the start at the Olympic Stadium. After travelling the south the marathon participants will then turn westwards when they reach Armia Krajowa street. Following that the runners will take on two long streets in the shape of Grabiszyńska and Legnicka. Last but not least, after striding through Popowice and Nadodrze the runners will make their back to the Olympic Stadium to reach the finish line.

Travelers should be aware that the marathon will cause some disruption to the public transport network on Sunday morning.

Buses will be primarily restricted due to the roads being opened for runners, so it is best to look at the map below to get an idea of when your area will be affected. The time in red gives the estimated time of arrival for the first runners, while the green numbers resprent the arrival time for the back of the pack.
