Poll Shows No Clear Favourite For Wrocław’s 2018 Presidential Election

An opinion poll conducted by DRB Polonia shows no clear favourite emerging for Wroclaw's 2018 Presidential election.

The current President of Wrocław, Rafał Dutkiewicz, will stand down when his latest term in office expires in December 2018.

Among those competiting to replace Dutkiewicz are reprentatives from PiS, PO, Nowoczesna as well as Jerzy Michalak, who will stand for the current President's politcal group.

According to the opinion poll it will be very tough to bet on the winner of the election at the present moment.

Alicja Chybicka of PO is currently out in front on 21.7%, around 8% more than Jerzy Michalak. PiS' Miroslaw Stachowiak-Różecka, who has yet to be confirmed as a candidate, came third in the poll with 6.7%. Meanwhile Michał Jaros of Nowoczesna pulled in 6.3%.

However, a massive chunk of those questioned in the poll (40%) said that they didn't know who they would vote for, meaning that all is still to play for over the next year and a half.
