New Places To Check Out In Wrocław This July

Summer is now in full swing and there are no shortage of new places opening their doors in Wrocław.

Here's a summary of just a few places that have opened recently:

El Gordito

This new Mexican restaurant on Armii Krajowej street specialises in tacos and has quickly earned rave reviews among bloggers and diners.

This is one place we'll definitely be checking out.

Chapata Vege Grill

Located in the backyard of Carpe Diem pub, Chapata Vege Grill is the city's latest vegetarian street food venue.

The focus here is on naan breads twinned with various grilled vegetables, hummus and different sauces.

ChillUp is the long awaited successor to Up!, which was a popular terrace bar located on top of the Times Building.

ChillUp appear to be keeping the recipe that was succesful before; concerts and open-air cinema screenings are part of the programme alongside parties on weekend nights.

Blackbeard is truly the first of its kind in Wroclaw – a "barber and barrel house". The speciality here is rum, and they have a range of choice that other bars in Wrocław could only dream of.

So if you're a guy who fancies getting your mo trimmed in-between sipping on some fine rum, this is your place.

The rather unusually named 'Facecook' is a jacket potato joint on Szewska street.

So far Facecook has been recieved well on social media, and they may have created a bit of a niche for themselves here after the demise of Zacna Pyra.

Another food truck that's recently set up shop is SZAMAni, which specialises in hot sandwiches and burgers.

The produce here doesn't look anything out of the ordinary, but their location on Wyspa Słodowa is very good.

Other places worth a mention

ETNO Cafe have another new branch, this time in the new building facing the tram stops in front of the main train station. ETNO Cafe now have 4 branches in Wrocław on top of their roastery, and they appear to be well on their way to becoming the Polish Starbucks.

Another Wrocław success story to open a new branch is Bema Cafe, who have opened up at the new shopping centre at FAT junction.

PRL themed chain pub Pijalnia Wódki i Piwa have another new venue too. Their location on Św. Mikołaja will see them go head to head with Przedwojenna and Ambassada.

Last but not least, Amciu Mniamciu have taken advantage of the crowds at Stara Odra Beach Bar by parking their waffle-cone and ice-cream food truck nearby.
