Lower Silesia Bike Festival Starts This Weekend

An array of events geared towards cyclists will take place in Wrocław this weekend thanks to the Lower Silesia Bike Festival.

The whole thing gets underway on Friday evening at 7pm outside Hala Stulecia, where an open-air cinema will be set up to screen a variety of bike themed short films. Numerous foodtrucks will also be present to provide food and refreshments.

On Saturday and Sunday at Crooked Chimney in Nadodrze, in cooperation with the Fresh Design festival, a short string of workshops and talks will be organised by prominent figures in the Wrocław's cycling community.

The main attraction is nonetheless the road and mountain bike competitions, which are to be held in the area around Hala Stulecia. Meanwhile inside Hala Stulecia itself the focus is to turn towards the bike congress run by Warsaw's University of Social Psychology.

Last but not least, those who attend the festival also have the chance to try out some electrically powered bikes.
