Free Public Transport On Sunday (If You Are Reading)

Wrocław City Council have announced that public transport will be free on Sunday for anyone who is reading onboard the city's buses and trams.

The motivation for the initiative is UNESCO World Book Day, which is celebrated every year on April 23rd.

According to Wrocław City Council's press release, anyone reading a book or e-book on an MPK tram or bus will be able to travel on Sunday without a ticket. The rules apply for the whole day.

A number of cultural events are also planned for UNESCO World Book Day in Wrocław, including a meeting of Polish authors at Mewa Milk bar in Nadodrze on Saturday evening.
