Movie Of The Week (with English subtitles)

Powidoki (Afterimage) 

This week's featured film is Powidoki, the last work of legendary Polish director Andrzej Wajda.

The film pays tribute to avant-garde painter Wladyslaw Strzeminski, a man who strived to overcome his physical handicaps in order to improve his art and spread his ideas of the nature of the creative process.

A Street Cat Named Bob

A Street Cat Named Bob is a comedy-drama based on the book of same name by James Bowen.

The movie revolves around the character of James Bowen, a homeless London street musician and recovering drug addict. On discovering an injured stray cat, James' life soon changes for the better as he sets upon looking after the vulnerable animal.

Já, Olga Hepnarová

Já, Olga Hepnarová is a Czech drama film directed by Tomáš Weinreb and Petr Kazda.

The film focuses on the life of Olga Hepnarová, a mentally-ill mass murderer, who on 10 July, 1973, killed eight people in Prague with the aid of a truck.

Konwój

Konwój is a Polish thriller with an all-star cast boasting some of Poland's finest actors.

The film centres on the mystery of the murder of a prisoner, which is linked back to an incident that occured during a convoy seven years previously.
