Molotov Cocktail Thrown At Egyptian Restaurant In Wroclaw

Reports have emerged of an Egyptian restaurant in Wroclaw being subject to a Molotov cocktail attack in the early hours of this morning.

The incident is the latest in a growing list of attacks that have hit foreign owned restaurants since the tragedy in Elk on New Year's Eve

According to Radio Wroclaw, a Molotov cocktail was thrown through the window of the Kuki Pizza fast food restaurant on Bolesława Prusa street at 2am this morning.

The owner of the restaurant is Egyptian Ali Nafa, who has lived in Wroclaw for 8 years.

Speaking to Radio Wroclaw about the incident, Ali was keen to stress than there are both "sick" and "normal" people in all countries including his own, not only in Poland.

He also labeled the attack racist and asked to be left alone to get on with running his business and living his life:

"I have no doubt that it is simply racist. We are a family, we're getting married soon, and we just want to live normally."

The incident comes just a day after another kebab shop in the area had its windows smashed in. Last weekend Indian restaurants in Lubin and Szczecin were also targeted – the former had racist graffiti sprayed on its walls and the latter was hit by a stink bomb that planted by a man posing as a customer.
