Wroclaw Panthers Win Dream Double

The Wroclaw Panthers American football team secured a dream double yesterday when they followed up their recent Polish Superfinal win with a Champions League Final victory against Seamen Milano.

In recent years the much fancied Wroclaw Panthers have fallen at the final hurdle to the battling Gdynia Seahawks, however it was Wroclaw who came out on top in Białystok two weeks ago when the sides met once again in the Polish Superfinal.

That massive result gave the Panthers a huge boost going into the 'Final Four' of the Champions League last weekend, which was held at Oporowksa 62, Śląsk Wrocław's iconic old stadium.

On Friday the Panthers earned their place in the final having defeated the Danube Dragons 49-34 with the help of three Tomasz Dziedzic touchdowns.

The Panthers then went onto win a thrilling final match 40-37 against Seamen Milano, much to the delight of the team's loyal fans.

You can see highlights of yesterday's game on the Polsat Sport website.
