Tacos Locos: Mexican Grub In Nadodrze

Not so long ago Wroclaw's sole Mexican food option was the cheap and nasty cabbage infected fare at Mexico bar. Thankfully things have improved a lot recently, largely due to the arrival of the Panczo food truck, as well as the subject of today's review, Tacos Locos.

Located just across the Odra river at the gateway to the Nadodrze area, Tacos Locos is a modest no-frills venue that offers decent food at reasonable prices inside a bright, colourful and friendly interior.

On our visit a couple of months ago we sampled their chili con carne tacos and pulled pork quesadillas, which cost 17zl and 19zl respectively. Of the two meals the stand-out dish had to be the tacos, which proved to be satisfying finger food with a solid but not overpowering level of spice. The quesadillas, while a tad on the greasy side, were also nicely put together and complimented by some tangy dips.

Mexican food purists might find one or two faults in Tacos Locos' authenticity, but even so, there's no doubting that this venue is a vast improvement on the likes of Mexico Bar.

For our vegetarian readers it must be stressed that there are some meat free options too, while fans of hipster soft drinks will be glad to know Tacos Locos also stock a wide selection of quirky fizzy drinks.

All in all, without setting the world (or your mouth) on fire, Tacos Locos have done a decent job of creating a fun space with a variety of satisfying Mexican street food options. So for those looking for something a little different in Wroclaw, Tacos Locos is definitely worth a shout.
