This year's Christmas market, which is promising to be bigger and more diverse than ever, opened today.
Wrocław, our city known as the meeting place, certainly lives up to its name during these mass gatherings the seasonal Christmas market brings. Magical scenery, tunes of the holidays and fairytale-like atmosphere, all help to make the market square feel a special place indeed, and also does its bit to foster the Christmas mood for its visitors every year.
The Christmas Market (or Jarmark Bożonarodzeniowy), which is organised by the Pianoforte Art Agency, opened this evening to the sound of an enthusiastic brass band.
Various alluring goods can be found in the wooden houses located all along the square. These range from Christmas delicacies such as chocolate of different shapes, gingerbread cookies and roasted chestnuts, to souvenirs like handmade jewellery, ceramic angels or scarfs with Christmas patterns. For the avid Christmas shopper, the market is guaranteed to provide a satisfying seasonal shopping experience.
Shoppers will also have the opportunity to observe the process of having their souvenirs created or even order a special gift for themselves.
The market is open to visitors until the 22 of December from 10am to 9am every day. Detailed information on the event location, attractions and contacts can be found at jarmarkbozonarodzeniowy.com.
