Gigi Cafe: Pretty But Plastic

Housed inside Ferio Gaj shopping centre, Gigi is a bright and cozy albiet rather synthetic cafe.

The place is rather busy and lively inside thanks to its open kitchen and regular footfall, but there's no hiding the fact that it is still inside a shopping centre. Prices are a little above average, while the atmosphere is rather lacking compared to Wroclaw's more charming old town cafes.

Gigi's offering in terms of food focuses on cakes, sandwiches, pastries and pancakes, as well as ice cream. On our visit we grabbed this feta and sun dried tomato roll, which was perfectly fine for a quick working lunch.

Gigi has been nicely designed and as far as shopping centre cafes go, it is better than most. Still, despite some nice touches here and there, Gigi could easily be mistaken for an airport cafe just about anywhere in the world. All in all, this is a practical place for those in the area to do some work or get a quick bite to eat, but not one to pass time in and watch the world go by.
