TechSaturdays, the monthly meet up for startup enthusiasts and budding entrepreneurs, continues this weekend with its latest edition. Held at the Etno Cafe Roastery, the event will feature a new line up of talented speakers, networking games, prize giveaways and more.
As ever, Wrocław Uncut is at hand to give you a sneak preview of the proceedings:
To get things underway without delay, it is recommended to come along early and get yourself allocated to a group. Those who register and give details of their skills, plus what they are looking for and can offer in return, will be specifically allocated numbers to assist them later. Those who come along early will also have plenty time to grab a free coffee provided by the guys at Etno cafe. Then just before the event starts in earnest, they'll be a brief introduction to the TechSaturdays concept for any newbies attending for the 1st time.
14.40: 1st Speaker
Once the formalities have been completed, the first speaker, Malwina Krupa, will take to the floor.

In her talk, titled "Why nobody will love your brand. How to avoid common mistakes", Malwina will highlight mistakes people make when developing their brand, and explain how some people might be doing so without even noticing . She'll also talk about the impact these mistakes can have , how to avoid making them and how to remedy mistakes that have already been made.
14.50: Networking Session 1
At 14.50 the TechSaturdays team will organize a networking session, allowing you to get know the people that could make your bright idea become reality.
15.10: 2nd Speaker:
The second of the afternoon's speakers is popular American stand-up comic Jim Williams.
In his speech, Jim will draw parallels between performing stand-up and making a pitch, explaining how one can perfect their pitch from an artistic perspective.
15.30: Networking Session 2
Following the second speech they'll be another opportunity to network with other TechSaturdays participants.
15.50: 3rd Speaker
The third and final speaker of the afternoon is Hatem Kamal, a freelance trainer of soft skills and a consultant for the development of learning materials.
Over the last 20 years while working in Cairo and Dubai, Hatem has gained vast experienced dealing with clients such as Egyptair and Edexcel, as well as major Universities.
Hatem will give a presentation on how soft skills can translate to hard money.
16.00 Pitch Switch & Pitch Updates
At 4pm they'll be a chance for TechSaturdays participants to touch up their pitching skills with a task called the 'Pitch Switch'.
They'll also be the traditional 'Pitch Updates' section of the event. Here, new TechSaturdays participants can pitch their ideas to the audience, and request for help should they need it. At the same time, those who pitched in previous TechSaturdays events will have the opportunity to update the audience on their progress.
Last but not least, comes the all important matchmaking session.
In preparation for the event, the TechSaturdays volunteers tirelessly scan through all the profiles to find potential matches. That means all you need to do is find the person whose number tag matches the figure on your paper. With any luck, that person could be the key to assisting you with your business idea, startup or project.
TechSaturdays takes place this Saturday at 14.30 at Etno Cafe Roastery (ul. Jerzmanowska 17/e6). For those going by public transport, you can get to the venue by using buses 109 and 129. Visit wroclaw.jakdojade.pl to find your specific route.
