Welcome to beer paradise! If you love beer and you live in Wrocław, then this is your place. While the decor might be a bit nondescript in this Ruska street cellar pub, it all pales into insignificance once you've seen what's on tap.
The blackboard by the bar reveals a list of ten different draught beers from all over Europe – Polish micro-brews take pride of place at the top, followed by some quality Czech lagers, German wheat and dunkel beers, Belgian cherry and geuze beers, plus the occasional Irish stout. That not enough? Their fridge is stacked full of beers from around the world, with the Belgian trappist variety particularly well stocked. The only nag is the price of some of these foreign brews, but considering the import costs and sheer quality of these beers, they are well worth splashing your cash on.
The staff are also well trained and passionate about their beer – on our visit one of the guys was impressively going through the pub's offerings in English. Additionally, Zakład Usług Piwnych have wisely added a selection of cheap and tasty snacks to accompany your piwo, including popcorn, toasties and cold meat platters. Another plus is that the music is played at a sociable volume, allowing you to sit back and enjoy two simple pleasures in life – quality beer and quality conversation. Recommended.
