Spiż

One of Wrocław's most well known pubs, this tourist haunt has one of the best beer gardens in the city.

Famous for having its own brewery on site, every year thousands flock to try Spiż's local beer – but has its success led to its downfall? Due to the increasing number of tourists coming to Wrocław in recent years, Spiż has had to start brewing off-site to meet demand. As a result, i'm not alone in thinking the quality of its beer is not quite what it used to be.

Having said that, Spiż's pilsner, dark, wheat and honey beers are still a cut above your standard Polish lager, and we love their tradition of offering bread and smalec with every beer.

Please bear in mind that there is no table service, so be prepared to join that busy queue on a sunny Saturday afternoon!
