Academus

Academus

Just a couple of minutes walk from the Rynek, Academus is an ideal venue to chill out and take in a wide ranging selection of beers from Poland, Belgium and England.

Inviting, comfy, claret seating provides an open sociable space to enjoy your tipple, whether that be Polish classics such as Ciechan or Kożlak, a double malted Belgian Leffe or a Fullers English ale. The recent addition of Fullers finest beers in particular is most welcome, as English ales are virtually impossible to find in Wrocław's pubs.  If you want to enjoy the novelty of reminiscing with a London Pride though, you'll have to expect to pay the price – sometimes almost double that of a local brew.

Academus love their foreign visitors, who are more than welcome to place a pin on the world-map to show their place of origin. Meanwhile Polish speakers can have a nose through the local and national newspapers that permanently reside by the bar. The walls are decorated with beer memorabilia and pictures of a personal trek through Asia, which may seem a bit out of place, but they do a good job fueling your curiosity while you are enjoying that double malted 8% Leffe.
